A hike in the woods

On Sunday we hiked the Pigeon Roost trail out by Beaver Lake. It was gorgeus weather (a bit nippy). Liam loved the scenery, the leaves we gave him to chew on, and the taste of vanilla ice cream we gave him as a desperate measure on the drive home. He liked the ice cream for about a second, then proceeded to continue screaming the entire hour-drive (We forgot his pacifier, and he really needed a nap). Other than the drive-home-meltdown, it was a great day.

Liam got an early start on his Halloween costume just for fun. He's a garden gnome: perfect for a walk in the woods.

New pants

I sewed Liam these adorable pants out of an adult sweater and then knitted a waistband at the top. Amy, thanks again for the great ideas...

Christmas is coming...

It's getting to be that time of year again. For anyone who is interested in what is on Liam's list, check out our online list at Baggle.com (Thanks, Amy, for such a great idea). Here is the link to the site:

Of course, used items are always welcomed and encouraged.

Animals in the park

The Gentry Wild Animal Safari had some animals down at the park on Saturday for the Culture Fest (I'm still not sure exactly what that was supposed to be...) But the animals were fun for Liam to see.

Liam loves to be in the backpack. It's his favorite mode of transportation whether we're going on a walk, at the grocery store, or making dinner. It's a great workout for us...
Liam was actually more interested in the fallen leaves than this goat right in front of him.

The turtle wanted to eat Liam's fingers. Liam wanted to let him try.

7 months

He sits up now. All by himself! It sure makes my life easier.

He likes the swings.
He REALLY likes Auntie Linda's nose.
We're so glad she's here to live with us.

sweet potatoes

We dug up half of our 6'x6' bed of sweet potatoes to make room for garlic.

This was unbelievably exciting.

jump jump jump

Liam's Auntie Molly sent him this fabulous Johnny Jumper. As you can see, he loves it.
