Not quite what I had in mind...

I have been toying with the idea of cutting my hair for the past couple of weeks. Nothing drastic. Maybe even just a trim. Something a little different.

But when I woke up this morning, showered, and got ready for church, I had no intention of making today the haircut day.

But then I got my hair stuck in the hairbrush. Not just kind of stuck. Completely and irreversibly stuck. I have no idea how I managed to do this...
So then I had to swallow my pride and call for Gabriel to come and rescue me from my brush's death grip. I felt like an idiot. And then I looked like one.
So, now I have bangs. Not casual side bangs that say I'm-thinking-about-switching-to-bangs. No. These are in your face, no turning back now, short little bangs. The kind that look cute. I wasn't going for cute.
But cute it is.
I wonder how long it will take for them to grow out?

  1. i can't believe that happened to you! well, at least they're cute:) i cut bangs this spring, and although i don't wear them a ton, they're easy to pin back and pretty versatile. they'll grow on you...hehe, didn't even mean that one!

  2. I really do like them, Dorothy! Sorry about the round brush. I don't even own a round brush because that's the only thing round brushes do for me...eat my hair. Hope you learn to love the bangs or that they grow really fast. :)

  6. LOL the round brushes are evil!! Every time I've ever touched one its at least 20 mins of detangling.

  7. I like the new look! And that absolutely sounds like something that would happen to me. You are such a clever gal and if anyone can make lemonade out of lemons, it's YOU! Bobbie pins can be a fun accessory. I myself don't think I use them enough. You go with your adorable self this summer!! Before you know it, they'll be grown out! And just remember what I said about your face. :D You CAN pull it off!
